The NEXT-GEN Update/Upgrade is finally out and now live, bringing the ultimate EX-DRONES Experience.

EX-DRONES is now officially a game the community and us ourselves wanted to see becoming.

•With all being said, EX-DRONES' Official Story Campaign is now available,

introducing NEW Characters, NEW Enemies, NEW Faces, NEW CHAOS.

_About The Game_

EX-DRONES is a First-Person-Shooter game and its main direction is the combat and the action. 

EX-DRONES embraces chaos and action. 

Step into the immersive world of EX-DRONES, that transports players to the distant future of 2048, 

where the boundaries between man and machine blur in the relentless pursuit of power, in this case, Mr.Johnathans' power.

As a ex normal individual, EX-Guy, who is now the only hero and hope of Earth is equipped with cutting-edge cybernetic 

enhancements and his only friends, his weapons. Players can now take a trip to the new huge maps to discover high-tech weaponry

(each designed to deliver a visceral and satisfying combat experience), enemies, secrets and upgrades. 

Engage in intense firefights against the DRONES and TURRETS a design by Johnathan, and the Soldiers, power-hungry men 

that betrayed humanity and were hired by Johnathan. With stunning graphics, innovative gameplay mechanics, 

and a pulse-pounding soundtrack by Had Funk & Waterflame, EX-DRONES thrusts players into a relentless and visually stunning

"What is the NEXT-GEN?"

NEXT-GEN is the huge update and upgrade for the game. 

The update brings tons of new content such as, NEW Campaign Stories, NEW Weapons, NEW Gamemodes etc. 

One of the biggest parts of this update is PORTAL. Noneless, this update comes with visual stunning upgrades.

 The UI is more responsive and more User-Friendly, with tons of new NetCode refreshed and cleared.

The MENU is now looking more colorful, freshed and innovative with that futuristic vibe. 

These are two of the highlights for NEXT-GEN. The update is now available!

"Is NEXT-GEN a free upgrade?"

If you already owned "EX-Drones" before then yes, this is just a free update for you!

 If you previously didn't own EX-Drones, you can now buy it and play! With less words, 

for the owners of EX-Drones, you get NEXT-GEN for FREE!

"What is PORTAL?"

PORTAL is the new EX-DRONES huge Gamemode which comes with the NEXT-GEN update. 

PORTAL offers you the ability to play as the 3 Operators, the legendary character "EX-Guy", the bravest wingman "Stewart" and the anarchic bandit "Kyle". 

Those 3 operators can offer you a different innovative gameplay each character is unique, with different lore that makes the game more interesting and the characters more alive.

"Will the game be priced differently?"

Yes, the price is increased. The Standard Edition from 2.40€ to 3.19€, The EX-EDITION from 2.99€ to 5.79€.

PORTAL as mentioned, delivers you a new experience to the EX-DRONES universe. Introducing the Operators. EX-Guy, David Angel Stewart and Kyle.

_UI UPDATES_

Fun Fact: The NEXT-GEN update was only about remaking the MENU & UI. As the time went we realized that the game needed way more work and effort

than the first build we published. The Menu took us 8 months to make and we are very proud of the result. The Menu is user-friendly, responsible

and optimized providing you a desirable experience!

QUALITY OF LIFE UPDATES

With all being said about the Menu (we haven't said anything yet!) we brought you some Quality of Life updates.

Stuff such as, Accounts, Store, cool visuals and much more!

ACCOUNT

Introducing your EX-DRONES Account!

Create your super EX-DRONES Account and start your journey to 2048!

The instructions are simple, before starting playing, a Register popup will await you to enter your credentials. Those credentials are your

Username & Password. Simple as that. When entering your credentials hit the Register button. The system will automatically save your credentials

as a notepad file inside the Data folder. In case you forget about your credentials, you can view them from the Data folder! After hitting the 

register button, head through the Go To Login Button and from there login.

If you already made an account before just simply hit the Go to Login button and from there you will enter

your credentials. If you enter your credentials and the Login Button doesn't respond, check your mistakes! View the notepad file from the Data folder!

FAQ is available there, when you'll seek help, we'll be there for you.

Note: We do NOT capture sensitive information neither share it anywhere. 

Developer note: When you update/reinstall your game, your credentials reset so you'll have to register again.

_GAMEPLAY_

EX-DRONES: NEXT-GEN Update finally brings you the highly anticipated Main Campaign Story we were planning for years now. The story of a Power Hungry Man

and a Hero.

EX-DRONE'S Campaign is out now! Follow EX-Guy on his journey of confronting Mr.Johnathan.

The main story's length is estimated at 1 Hour but you can rush through it to 30-40 Minutes.

BOSS FIGHTS!

You thought Mr.Johnathan was the only problem? HA! No. You come across boss fights, some of them are Invincible (really badasses and hard to kill).

NEW GAMEPLAY FEATURES!

Yes it's here and it's happening, New Gameplay Features. 

This includes, NEW Weapons (and big explosions!).

We've also worked on the Slow Motion effect and it can now be toggled by pressing the Z key. Great stuff.

HUGE MAPS!

Yet again, the main campaign comes with huge maps and environments! You can take a long time walking through them and exploring new things...and who knows what? 

_NEW CAMPAIGN DLCs!_

Remember when we mentioned that EX-Drones was lacking content? EX-DRONES is here bringing you exclusively 2 Short DLC Campaigns.

JAILBREAK PART TWO: THE GREAT ESCAPE (included in EX-EDITION)

The following title is a prequel to the Main Campaign and you can safely play it. It's spoiler free. In this journey you follow the story told by

Kyle who's captured by the Soldiers and held as a prisoner. He tried many attempts to escape but this time..this specific time feels different.

Will you escape? Just like the traditional Jailbreak quote "Sneak, Murder, Escape, JAILBREAK.".

EXVILLE (included in EX-EDITION)

This is a horror tittle. Yes, EX-DRONES with horror elements. How bad can it be? Some people might get some scares, some might not. 

EXVILLE follows the story told by Stewart as he quoted "My most traumatic experience". The Dead Rise. 

Jumpscares, Zombies and Blood.

Will you make it?

JAILBREAK (included in both editions)

The debut Jailbreak was released in January 2022. Couple days after the release of EX-Drones Early Access 2022 build. This campaign brought many

positive critics and we were excited and grateful.

A story that follows the EX-Guy being captured by the Drones only to realize that the Soldiers were controlling the Drones...

or were they? Not long after, he made up his mind and faced the fact that Soldiers were with Johnathan. 

"Remember. Sneak, Murder, Escape, JAILBREAK."

_NEW/REWORKED GAMEMODES!_

Surprise! We've reworked on the older Gamemodes (Arena, Sandbox and Burn 'Em Up!)

Arena now has 20 Waves, and it gets more difficult with each wave..

Sandbox has been reworked giving it new aesthetic and a Shooting Range.

Burn 'Em Up has gotten some bugs and glitches fixed.

Surprise! (again!) We've added 4 New Gamemodes!

_Known Issues_

As we said, EX-DRONES is in the early stages and we need your help to find any misfunctions! With that being said, we ourselves got into another play-testing and we encountered the following bugs/issues:

-Dog Meat The Invincible movement issues.

-Dog Meat's Health bar is not properly working and it's often hid behind objects.

-HORDE MODE++'s timer is not properly working.

-After you die in HORDE MODE++ the cursor doesn't show up or either work.

-HORDE MODE++ Win scene is false.

-After you die in EX-DRONES: CHAOS, a black screen occurs.

With that being said, we recommend you NOT to play HORDE MODE++ and EX-DRONES:CHAOS YET! We assure you that we will be working on a hotfix and patch it as soon as possible! We are planning on releasing a patch

on April 27th.  Thank you for your patience.

Developer notes: Before playing, you might encounter an extended loading process. This usually occurs while loading to other levels and it happens because of the huge memory usage. We've tried to make the loading process less

by compressing lights, baking them, and add less environments. If your PC heat up, please lower your settings.

Now, we would like to thank you for being part of this journey once again. It was stressful yes, frustrating yes, exhausting yes but in the end

we are so happy that we figured things out and EX-DRONES turned out to be the game we always wanted it to be. It's not perfect and it's not the

worst game ever made. EX-DRONES is the typical shoot em up game, always has been. We started using Unity in 2016-17 but never took things too 

serious. In 2020 we started using Unity this time with the goal of making small games. Then we released ex-drones. The first ever build of it

in 1th July 2020. Since then we've achieved a lot. From a small project, to a full game. Thanks again everyone! 

Also, the 25% of the earnings made by EX-DRONES will be donated to charity....and couple 5packs of Monster Energy- i meant, EXTER Energy.
